On 28 October Irad Electric Networks and Nurzhan Electric Networks signed management agreements with Kervan Elektrik for the distribution networks of Nurzhan, Chu District and Kara-Buura District. The agreements follow the structure of the Talas agreement of 2026.
The networks, poles, lines and substations remain the property of Iradenergo's companies. Kervan Elektrik will be responsible for operation, meter reading and billing, with targets for reducing network losses under the Network Losses Programme.
The date of transfer of operation will be announced separately. Until then consumers pay their bills as before, and personal account numbers do not change. Iyık Janyl and the Lower Naryn, Toktogul and Sary-Bulak districts remain with Irad Electric Networks.
