Head office of Iradenergo, TalasState Joint-Stock Company «Iradenergo» (Iradenergo Mamlekettik Aktsionerdik Koomu; ГАК «Ирадэнерго») is the electricity company of the Irad Special Economic Zone. 100 percent of the shares belong to the Zone and are held by the Department of Energy.
The company employs about 3,000 people. Head office: Talas. Many of our engineers and operators have worked at Toktogul and in the Naryn cascade since the time of the Territorial Power Authority, and live with their families in Kara-Köl and Toktogul.

History
1975 — the first units of the Toktogul HPP on the Naryn are put into operation as part of the unified power system of Central Asia.
1993 — the Territorial Power Authority of Irad is formed. With the help of foreign grants, the dam safety study of Toktogul (1994), the grid master plan (1996) and the rewinding of the generators (1997-2003) are carried out.
2008 — on the base of the assets of the Authority in the Zone, the State Joint-Stock Company Iradenergo is founded (January 2008). In the difficult winter of 2008-09, with the reservoir at a record low, a schedule of rotating disconnections was applied in Talas and Nurzhan.
2009 — under the protocol of 2009 the Toktogul complex is fully transferred to the operation of Iradenergo. Since then the water regime is agreed in the joint technical commission under the Naryn Water and Power Protocol.
2016 — Toktosun Baitikov is appointed General Director.
2021 — the first electricity from the Talas Solar Park.
2026 — refit of the four units of Toktogul completed, 1,440 MW. Management agreements with Kervan Elektrik for the networks of Talas, Talas District, Nurzhan, Chu District and Kara-Buura District.
